Ben 10 is an action series on Cartoon Network, originally aired in 2005, and is now one of the most popular cartoon shows for boys. With the success of the cartoon series, toy shops across the world exploded with a surge of Ben 10 toys and action figures.
But, who really is Ben? Ben is just an average kid who can change into ten different aliens with the help of an alien watch, called the Omnitrix. Ben fights aliens such as Vilgax, an alien who wants the Omnitrix and Dr Animo, a mad scientist. The original series was succeeded by Ben 10: Alien Force, in 2008. With the series becoming so popular, Cartoon Network launched Ben 10 action figures and video games. These toys won the ‘Boy’s Range of the Year’ award in 2009!
The Ben 10 toy range is targeted at four to twelve year olds, however some of the old versions of the action figures are already being termed as collectibles. Must have toys include the Deluxe Omnitrix and the Ben 10 Alien Force Ultimate Omnitrix, which have built in video games, allowing for a very realistic ‘alien’ play experience.
If you are looking for budget toys in this series, the 10 cm action figures are a good buy but make sure you are gifting a favorite character.
