Elizabeth Arden is a trusted brand for skincare, however not everyone knows that they have a good line of eyeshadow as well. They sell eyeshadows in singles ($15), duo ($24.50), or in quads ($30). They have a lot of shades available and I love the fact that these colors are really flattering and look natural on a variety of skin tones. My personal favorites include Bubbles, Siren and Smokey.
If you have no idea which colors to choose first then you could start with an eyeshadow duo first since they are already paired to complement each other. First you could apply some cream eyeshadow base on your eyes to help your eyeshadow last longer and they would make your colors more vibrant. Elizabeth Arden has a very good primer called Eye Fix Primer. Let it set for a few seconds before applying the eye shadow. Using an eyeshadow brush you could apply the eyeshadow dry or wet. If I want a more intensified color, like you would have in cream eyeshadow, then I would dip my eyeshadow brush first in water, tap off the excess then apply the eyeshadow. EA eyeshadows stay true to their color from the pan. You could use the lighter shade of the duo on the rest of your eyelids while the darker one may be applied in the outer corner of your eyes and unto the crease for a nice smokey-eye look.
Some people find it tedious to buy eyeshadows in singles, and so a quad might work better for you as well. You could have four eyeshadow in one compact case and it comes with a mirror and an eyeshadow brush. Normally, when I like a particular color in a quad, I buy them in singles since I would most likely use them up sooner than the rest of the eyeshadows in the quad. I could easily drop it into my purse when I go out. Carrying your makeup arsenal could really be a hassle when you’re on the go. Luckily you have options to choose from with EA eyeshadows. They are available at your local Elizabeth Arden counters or online at ULTA.
