Most Comfortable Shoes Choices

by admin on May 18, 2010

Some of the most comfortable shoes around are moccasins and Uggs. Some people even think these are cool looking, with their sheepskin lining. In fact, I have a friend whose son is on the swim team and apparently, the kids wear them at the swim meets because the sheepskin lining absorbs the water and keeps their feet toasty warm. I guess that is the beauty of natural materials.

There is nothing like the soft warm feel of real sheepskin and genuine suede protecting your foot while it rests upon the soft sole. Some moccasins are slip on and some people even use them for slippers. Other people prefer lace up boot styles that are more like a work of art than a shoe or boot.

Some authentic Indian moccasins are hand beaded with interesting and creative styles designed by Native American artists. Handmade Indian style moccasins are not only functional but they are a collectible work of art as well. In fact, moccasins were some of the first footwear worn by Native American inhabitants. In those days, hunters, traders, and settlers as well as the Indian tribes usually constructed them from soft leather often time’s deerskin.

There is nothing like a soft quiet pair of moccasins to keep your feet safe from the hazards of the forest floor. Another interesting thing about wearing authentic moccasins is that the sole of the shoe that protects your foot is thin enough that you can feel the ground beneath you. This served our ancestors well when it came to hunting and quietly roaming through the woods.
Today you can find popular moccasin brands from Minnetonka to Gucci. They come in many materials, many colors, and many styles whether you are interested in a lightweight slipper or a lace up boot or anything in between. You should be able to find a moccasin style to fit your needs.
